I Robot.

Adam Ostrow which is a journalist asks the question of life after death. What is the thing which comes after life? And if it was life again?... In fact, thanks to new technologies and to the Internet we'll always be somewhere "in the cloud". Nowadays it's difficult to know who were really our ancestors. Indeed we have some films some photos our diaries but nothing concrete. Our children will have more indication of our lives thanks to our blogs or websites like youtube, twitter or Facebook. But the true question that Adam Ostrow asks is: "do we really want this?".

We live in artificial life: a member of Facebook posts around 90 informations by month on this website. Ostrow also speaks about robots which will be able, in the future, to reproduce the emotions of a person in particular. It's frightening, isn't it? And you? Are you ready to live in world imagined by Isaac Asimov?

A black day in paradise.

This an amazing story. A story of violence. In an Amish community situated in Ohio (USA) seven men have been arrested for several cases of violence on members of the same community. These hate crimes are   really surprising because even if Amish communities are not always understood, they are respected for their peaceful mind. Victims (including a 14 year old girl) had their hair and beards cut which is very shameful for an Amish. Moreover the seven men forced victims to sleep in chicken coop. The worst crime committed are the rapes done on women. This is an unconventional crime that is absolutely not usual in an Amish community because they live in respect with Bible which prohibits violence.

The particularity of Amish life is that they refuse new technologies, phones, tvs, radios, cars... They cultivate their own food. They live exactly like in the 19th century. It's easy to think that they are crazy to refuse the progress of science but are we not the slaves of our smart phones? Some people in our society forget the true price of life. We can't come home without plug our TV on, we couldn't live without the Internet more than a week. New technologies are our drugs. Nowadays we are never really alone because of our cell phones but we are not really with someone because we often have our noses in ours laptops.

It's why it's difficult to imagine crimes in Amish society, because they are all closely knit, they have the same values and that's the more important ingredient of a peaceful society. So what would you think about giving up your computer for a day?
