I Robot.

Adam Ostrow which is a journalist asks the question of life after death. What is the thing which comes after life? And if it was life again?... In fact, thanks to new technologies and to the Internet we'll always be somewhere "in the cloud". Nowadays it's difficult to know who were really our ancestors. Indeed we have some films some photos our diaries but nothing concrete. Our children will have more indication of our lives thanks to our blogs or websites like youtube, twitter or Facebook. But the true question that Adam Ostrow asks is: "do we really want this?".

We live in artificial life: a member of Facebook posts around 90 informations by month on this website. Ostrow also speaks about robots which will be able, in the future, to reproduce the emotions of a person in particular. It's frightening, isn't it? And you? Are you ready to live in world imagined by Isaac Asimov?

A black day in paradise.

This an amazing story. A story of violence. In an Amish community situated in Ohio (USA) seven men have been arrested for several cases of violence on members of the same community. These hate crimes are   really surprising because even if Amish communities are not always understood, they are respected for their peaceful mind. Victims (including a 14 year old girl) had their hair and beards cut which is very shameful for an Amish. Moreover the seven men forced victims to sleep in chicken coop. The worst crime committed are the rapes done on women. This is an unconventional crime that is absolutely not usual in an Amish community because they live in respect with Bible which prohibits violence.

The particularity of Amish life is that they refuse new technologies, phones, tvs, radios, cars... They cultivate their own food. They live exactly like in the 19th century. It's easy to think that they are crazy to refuse the progress of science but are we not the slaves of our smart phones? Some people in our society forget the true price of life. We can't come home without plug our TV on, we couldn't live without the Internet more than a week. New technologies are our drugs. Nowadays we are never really alone because of our cell phones but we are not really with someone because we often have our noses in ours laptops.

It's why it's difficult to imagine crimes in Amish society, because they are all closely knit, they have the same values and that's the more important ingredient of a peaceful society. So what would you think about giving up your computer for a day?

8 secrets of success according to Richard St John.

According to Richard St John, who is an expert in success, persons who are successfull have 8 traits in common. These traits are Passion, Work, Focus, Push, Ideas, Improve, Serve and Persist. In my opinion the most important thing is to persist.

In fact, I think when you have a dream you can't give up. Persistence is one of the eight secret to success, but what are the secrets of persistence?
So many people haven't dreams to realise so if you have one: keep it! It's very hard to do what you really want to do. In fact, some persons tell you that your dreams are imposible, that you are incapable of doing hard work to success... so the first secret of persistence is to ignore these persons who are generally jealous of you because they don't have any dream to realise.

The second secret of persistence in my opinion is to do things little by little. You can't become a rock star or an important CEO overnight. You have to divide your big project in other little projects which are easier to realise. If do this you'll not give up because you'll see your progress. If you don't do that you'll certainly give up.

For instance if you want to be a famous actor in Hollywood, you can't take the first fly for America and run after famous film directors. Each year  many persons try it and finish waiter to pay another fly to come back at home. In a first time you'll take comedy  lessons. Don't think that you already know all that you have to know ! Even big movie's stars take theatre lessons. Of course you have to trust in you but not enought to be blind about your capacities. After that you have to search little work of actors. Don't try to play in a Tarantino or a Tim Burton's movie yet. Try small works to begin. Many stars began like this. Georges Clooney played in very bad movies before becoming a famous actor. Now he makes his own movies and is the most envied person in Hollywood, and that because of persistence.

Imagine your project is a stair. And each step is a part of your project.

GOOD LUCK :-)

Hi ! How are you ? I hope everything's right in Grenoble city.

You'll never guess where I am. I'm in Ireland ! I always wanted to visit this fabulous country, and now that I'm there I'm not disapointed at all. Of course when you visit Ireland you don't have to forget your umbrella hahaha... Just like I did... However despite the rain the landscape iswonderful !!! This green landscape is amazing, isn't it ? Moreover the sea is splendorous when the sun is here. I can't explain how happy I am to be here. People is very kind and when I visit forests I have the impression to be in a fairy tale. I'm sure that fairies are not imaginary because everything seems possible here. Of course even in town everything is also spectacular. Last day I drank a Guiness in an Irish Pub. It's impossible to come here and don't taste it. I'm not sure I'll be back in France soon ;).

My tips for freshers.

The first thing you have to know is that university is a new world. Of course when you are watching american movies you think that university is a good occasion to clubbing and have fun. Maybe you think that it is as easy to work at university as high-school. Of course it is important to have fun because you can't forget that you have a life without school, however you have to know that you can't pass yours exams if you don't work at all. The secret of a successfull year is to work every day. Trust me when I say that it's not always easy. In fact teachers aren't here to tell you what to do. You have to work alone. If you have some dificulties to work alone you can organize groups of persons to work your lesson. Some people think it's more easy and less painfull to work with someone. If you can't work because of a lack of motivation you can go at university library. When you'll see all that persons who are doing hard work you'll think that you're not alone to work a sunny afternoon. If you have problems of money or if you have not found a flat yet you can ask the CROUS. And if the CROUS can't help you have to know that there are social workers at university. On the campus you have a helth center where you can go when you want. In the health center you can find doctors but also nutritionists or psychologists. If you have other difficulties or questions you have to know that your head teatcher is here to give you answers. I hope I helped you.

The cave of Chorange

In the Vercors, near Grenoble, there is the cave of Chorange. It's a wonderful place to visit. This cave is famous in all europe because of its thousands of stalactites which are very thin and fragile. These stalactites, called soda straws are the great sights of this cave. You can visit the cave but the lanscape in the vicinity of the cave is also very beautilful (especially during autumn). During the tour you'll can see the olm, a strange prehistorical creature. Take your camera because everything is awesome. Unfortunately the only way to go there is to take the car and drive 30 minutes. However it's the best moment to go there because there is a lot of people during summer. The Chorange cave was discovered at the end of the 19th century by some inhabitants and is now restaured, so it's very easy to visit if you have some difficulties to walk. You can take your camera because all the site is spectacular. Before the visit of the cave you eat or drink a lot in the restaurant. However take your windbreak because of the weather.
